Lip Blush Langley
If you’re looking for Lip Blush in Langley, BC, this permanent treatment is one of the most natural ways to enhance your lips. Lip blushing is a cosmetic tattoo technique that adds soft, buildable colour, improves symmetry, and creates the appearance of fuller, more defined lips — without fillers.
At our Langley studio, every lip blush treatment is fully customized to your natural lip tone, skin undertones, and desired result. Whether you want a subtle “your lips but better” tint or a more defined, lipstick-inspired look, this treatment is designed to heal beautifully and fade naturally over time.
Lip blush is ideal for clients who want to wake up with fresh-looking lips every day, reduce the need for daily makeup, and achieve a more even, youthful lip tone.
When you book your Lip Blush treatment in Langley, you’re getting more than just colour — you’re getting a fully customized lip enhancement designed to suit your face and natural features.
Every appointment includes:

A topical numbing agent is used to keep the procedure as comfortable as possible. - Layered Pigment Application
Using advanced techniques, pigment is softly deposited to build colour gradually and evenly. - Aftercare Support
You’ll receive detailed instructions to ensure proper healing and long-lasting results. - Long-Lasting Results
Enjoy soft, tinted lips that typically last 2–3 years, depending on lifestyle and skin type.
Here’s exactly what your Lip Blush appointment in Langley will look like:
1. Consultation
We start by discussing your goals, preferred colour, and desired level of definition.
2. Lip Assessment + Mapping
Your lips are assessed for tone, symmetry, and shape. We map out the ideal shape while staying true to your natural lip line.
3. Colour Selection
We choose a custom pigment that will heal into your desired shade — soft, natural, and flattering.
4. Numbing
A numbing cream is applied to keep the treatment comfortable throughout the procedure.
5. The Procedure
Pigment is gently deposited into the lips using a layering technique to build colour evenly and naturally.
This process typically takes 2–3 hours.
6. Immediate Results
Your lips will appear brighter and more saturated right after — this is normal and will soften as they heal.
7. Healing Process
Expect a 5–10 day healing period, including light peeling and colour softening. Final results appear over the following weeks.
8. Perfecting Touch-Up
A touch-up is recommended at 6–8 weeks to perfect colour, shape, and longevity.
PREPARATION:
Client should plan to avoid prolonged sun exposure for 30 days after their scheduled
appointment. To perform cosmetic tattoo procedures on the lips, the skin of your lips must be hydrated and moisturized on the day of your appointment. We ask all clients to begin a daily lip regiment 5 days before you are scheduled to come in to prepare the lips.
5 DAY REGIMENT:
• Lip balm like Aquaphor or Lip Mask (Laneige, sold at Sephora) should be applied through out the day.
• After showering when lips are soft and supple, gently scrub your lips, especially the middle, and apply a layer of lip balm. You can make a homemade scrub by mixing brown sugar, honey and olive oil in the same proportions.
PAIN PREPARATION:
Through the sensation of micro-pigmentation is minimal, all clients will respond to pain differently. To alleviate possible discomfort, a strong topical anesthetic will be applied before and during the procedure. Please do not take any blood thinners such as Ibuprofen and Aspirin 24hrs before. Tylenol can be taken 30 minutes before your treatment without any contraindications.
COLD SORES:
For clients with ANY history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpes, please contact your physician and request a prescription for Zovirax or Valtrex. Taking preventative medication is recommend on the day of and for 4 consecutive days as a potential outbreak can occur as the skin’s natural reaction to the procedure. If you experience frequent outbreaks, please note that Lip Blush can only be done after 4 weeks from your most recent outbreak. All other questions or concerns regarding medications and outbreaks should be discussed with your healthcare physician.
PLEASE NOTE:
5 days before, during, and 5 days after your menstrual cycle you will be more sensitive and experience more discomfort and bleeding during the procedure. You are also more likely to experience premature colour loss because of this. Please try to avoid booking your Lip Blush
appointment during those days.

THE FIRST TWO DAYS:
The treated areas should be cleaned 3 times a day, morning, afternoon and evening. No cleansers can be used for any reason. A very thin layer of Vitamin A &D ointment should be applied consistently throughout the day to the treated area using a fresh Q-Tip (do not use mineral oil or Vaseline.) Applying too much ointment can lead to fading, so a thin layer goes a long way. This will keep the area moist and accelerate healing. Do not let the area dry out and crack, keep it moist at all times. Do not press or rub when applying ointment.
• Apply an extra heavy coat of ointment to the treated area only before bathing, washing of adjacent area, and immediately upon rising in the morning. When brushing teeth for the first five days, use a minimal amount of toothpaste. Toothpaste and mouthwash are considered “soap” and will remove the lip color.
Clients should avoid prolonged outdoor sun exposure for the first 30 days. Any prologue sun exposure will lead to a premature loss or colour or can cause a change in colour of fresh pigment
FOR THE FIRST 7 DAYS:
• Do not touch, bite, lick, pick, peel, tamper, scratch, rub, injure, or remove the peeling in any way; if you do, you will experience a loss of colour.
• Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your lips.
• Use a straw when drinking liquids.
• Avoid biting into foods that might cause friction to the lips; no spicy or super-hot food and drink.
• No foreign body fluids.
• No physical activity that causes extreme sweating.
• Do not use any lipstick or cosmetics on or near the treated area.
FOR THE FIRST 14 DAYS:
• No hot sauna, swimming, pool, hot bath/shower, sun tanning, tanning salon, Vaseline, Neosporin, or any petroleum-based products, no massage, facials, waxing, threading, laser, or skin treatment.
• Do not expose the area to dirty or unsanitary conditions. Try to avoid being in dusty places.
FOR THE FIRST 30 DAYS:
• Do not use products containing alcohol, tonics, or tonics based on lactose and fruit acids, retinol acids, glycolic acids in the treated areas.
What is normal?
• Mild swelling, itching, light scabbing, light brushing and dry tightness.
• Too dark and slightly uneven appearance. After 2-7 days the darkness will fade, and once any swelling dissipates, unevenness usually disappears. Adjustments will be made during the touch-up appointment.
• Colour change or colour loss as the procedure area heals, the colour will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear in places. This can be addressed during the touch up appointment, which is why touch up appointments are necessary. The procedure area has to heal completely before we can address any concerns.
• Healing takes about 6 -8 weeks.
• A touch up may be needed 6 months to 1 year after the first touch up procedure depending on your skin, medications, and sun exposure. We recommend the first touch up 2 months after the first session, then every 6 months to 1 year to keep your tattoos looking fresh and beautiful!
CAUTION
If the skin around the tattooed area breaks into a heat rash, or small pimples, this is usually a reaction to the numbing solution and should go away on its own in a couple of weeks. Please do not pick at it! Call immediately if this occurs so a technician can make a note of the reaction and follow up to ensure this is not a
more serious situation!

Will my lips look too bright or unnatural?
No — immediately after your appointment, the colour will look more intense, but it will fade by 30–50% as it heals, leaving a soft, natural tint.
How long does it last?
Outcomes will vary as everyone’s skin responds uniquely to the treatment. With this in mind, results typically last from 1 to 3 years.
Does it hurt?
Like traditional tattooing, everyone’s pain tolerance is different. To enhance your comfort, we apply a numbing cream to the treatment area prior to, and during the permanent makeup procedure.
How long does it take to heal?
You can return to your daily routine immediately after your appointment! However, avoid getting your lips wet, working out, or using makeup for the first 7 days. You may notice some light scabbing as your lips continue to heal. Allow 30 days for your lips to heal completely. Please follow the after care instructions carefully.
How long is the appointment?
Total time for your appointment is 2-3 hours; however, the majority of that time is spent in choosing your colour, and preparing the surface for the procedure (numbing, drawing, and shaping). The actual procedure is only 30-45 minutes.
Can lip blush make my lips look bigger?
Lip blush can create the appearance of fuller lips by enhancing shape, symmetry, and colour — but it does not physically add volume like filler.
What if I have Botox® injections and/or fillers?
We recommend you receive your lip blush treatment first and/or ask your treatment provider for clearance.
Who is a good candidate for lip blush?
Lip blush is ideal for anyone who:
- Has pale or uneven lip tone
- Wants more definition without filler
- Uses lip tint or lipstick daily
- Wants a low-maintenance, natural look
Are you able to touch up or fix another artist’s work?
If you are not satisfied with the results of another artist’s work, or require a touch up, you will need to book in for a full treatment with me. This will allow adequate time for me to assess and correct your brows.
Who should avoid lip blush?
You may not be a good candidate if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have active cold sores (or frequent outbreaks without management)
- Have certain medical conditions (consult if unsure)
- Are prone to keloid scarring
Can I get lip blush if I get cold sores?
Yes, but you’ll need to take preventative antiviral medication before and after your appointment to reduce the risk of an outbreak. Consult your doctor for a prescription.
Can I get Permanent Makeup while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We do not recommend permanent makeup procedures while pregnant or breastfeeding.
Are you fully licensed and insured?
Yes, at Ink Brow Bar, we are fully licensed and insured. This includes my Permanent Cosmetics Technician license, Vancouver Health Inspection license, and the City of Vancouver Business license. We carry commercial general liability insurance, including bodily injury and personal injury. In addition we have been trained on bloodborne pathogens.
